HAY PRESERVATIVES & INOCULANTS
WE UNDERSTAND MOISTURE IS A BIG OBSTACLE FOR HAY PRODUCERS
WHAT HAPPENS IF I WAIT TOO LONG TO BALE HAY?
Waiting too long to bale hay can result in a loss of feed value. Loss of nutrients and resulting in hay that is more stemmy than leafy. Thus, making the hay less digestible and harder for the animals to eat.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I BALE HAY TOO SOON?
Baling hay too soon can cause heat and mold to occur which can result in poor quality hay. Mold is no good for digestion, and too much heat can cause barn fires.
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO MAKE THE BEST HAY?
For higher quality hay, you must bale at the perfect time. Not too early, not too late. Sometimes the most efficient solution is adding a preservative and applicator system.

BIG-TEX PRO LIQUID HAY PRESERVATIVE APPLICATION:
Uniform distribution is very important. The hay should be raked into medium-sized, fluffy windrows. A multi-nozzle boom should be attached to the baler pick-up in a manner that the hay is sprayed while still fluffy so that the spray can penetrate the windrow. Fan-type nozzles should be used with a pressure range of 15-35 PSI. Flood-type nozzles are not satisfactory.
